Just wondered if anyone had heard any ideas or rumours of any players that might be heading Mildenhall's way? I would expect most of last seasons players to be involved, but from my experience these things dont really get sorted out until some pre season games have been played. I see Angello Harrop has left Needham ? would he come to Mildenhall? to much money? didnt he play for Stanway? What about the lad who trialled for us last year then went and sat on the bench at Bury Town for awhile? Daryl Coakley what happened to him?

We had a meeting with Christian tonight, partly about the youth section, and he has certainly been talking to a few prosepctive signings. I am not at liberty to name names yet, but I am sure there will be some new faces. Turns, Rogan and Skippy have all parted company so to speak.

Just to confirm
Skippy has left, due to family commitments and not been guaranteed a regular starting position, it was a shame we did not see him at his best due to his illness but we wish him well.
Josh Turner has a desire to play at a higher level and we did not want to renew his contract so so it was an amicable decision to leave - we wish him the best and good luck for the season, Josh put in some great performances at times last season.
Rogan - there has been interest for Rogan from higher level. Rogan in his short time with us has been a fantastic player and person to have at the club, we are happy to allow him to speak to other clubs if it furthers his game at a higher level. We would like him to stay but also he can leave with our best wishes if he chooses to.
Players in - although we have spoken to various players until we can actually sign them on it is unfair to put names. I can say though in our efforts and extensive meetings (one even 2 hours before I left for the airport to go to Africa which didn't please my family !!) we have unfortunately missed out on a couple because of travel, their current clubs form higher levels now guaranteeing them first team football, higher levels clubs 'gazumping' us and also being unable to compete (and not wanting to compete to stay with our budget) financially for some players demands which they can and have received from clubs in our division.
That said, apart from the 3 mentioned, ALL players have strongly indicated they are staying and are attending pre season next week, some are also going to sign contracts (but again well within our current pay structure for all players) so we have a core of a very good squad. We have also some new signings coming who I will announce when signed who are players who are young and/or hungry to develop and improve their games / have something to prove, this policy allows us to stick within budget but also gives us players who want to work in training and improve, and will work hard for MTFC and not just be here to pick up 'easy money' . We know we will be competitive again in an ever increasing league of some teams being far more financially rewarding and we may have one or two signings which will not necessarily light up the back pages, but quietly could be a couple of diamonds! :-)

sorry to see the three mentioned players go but life goes on and I'm sure they'll be adequately replaced.
